I.t. Can Be a cruel beast 4/8/2023

On a daily basis, I find myself in a liability cluster. A simple task like visiting the data center can turn out to be a weekend project consisting of multiple companies and employees not being able to access the internet. In some cases, all it takes is a cord to go bad, cable to fall out or even a new cord being plugged in can effect the other cords on a system. Simple things like labeling wires and zip tying cables (cable management) is a blessing not to be overlooked.

The Internet connected toliet 4/8/2023

A job we were sent out on involved a high end $500-$1000+ electronic toilet with all the bells and whistles, the real kicker was that the toilet was internet connect with Alexa and Siri capabilities. Kidding, but it was internet connected and had a few wireless features attached to it such as music. It also contained some of the other high end features such as the water squirter, the dryer, and so on… A day that shall soon not be forgotten.

The world is more high tech then ever before, the ironic thing is this statement should be true everyday going forward; Technology is ever growing as are we.

How To Be Geek 4/12/2023

  • Understand How Computer Are Built
  • Know How Internet Connected Devices Connect To The Internet Through DHCP and Static IP’s.
  • Learn and become knowledgeable in cell phones, T.V.’s and especially printers/copiers as people are faced with everyday problems when utilizing these types of devices.
  • Get Good With Computers And Understand How They Function (Similar To A File Cabinet).

How To Build A Computer 4/12/2023

  • Research the type of CPU and GPU you want such as AMD or Intel, NVIDIA Or Radeon.
  • Ensure your part list is compatible using this website ( ) and ensure the parts you’ve chosen fit your needs. Gaming computers need parts sufficient enough for gaming while business computers generally requires a different approach to part picking.
  • Install the CPU, Cooler, and RAM onto the motherboard. Remember you only need a small dot for CPU thermal paste. Less can sometimes be better then more, please ensure your using no more then a pebble worth.
  • Install the PSU on the case
  • Install the motherboard on the case
  • Plug in the PSU to the Motherboard
  • Plug in the case cables to your motherboard
  • Turn on the computer, ensure all fans are functioning and monitor the temperatures over a few days period time
  • Lastly, if everything checks out, perform cable management to ensure a clean computer build.

This is simply a generic simplified guideline that does not specifically match to any computer build but more of a general layover of our normal approach to building. This guide is to be used as a study reference first and foremost and along side motherboard manuals, YouTube videos, and other guides to ensure an accurate safe computer build.

Laptop Computer Repair 4/12/2023

Laptops can be a beast when it comes to computer repair. Our business located in Delray Beach Florida is familiar with laptop repairs of many makes and models. In our experiences, the few red flags we found when it comes to repairing computers is charging problems, more specifically, when the charging port is soldered onto the motherboard; Another red flag we come across quite often is laptop screen repairs. Based on our last few jobs, it appears that the majority of the time when the screen is cracked so is the surrounding computer casing from impact; The computer case + the cost of a new screen + the labor involved with switching out a screen + the unknown occurrences of broken parts that do occur when doing screen replacements = a cost that may or may not be cost effective to be replaced as a laptop may only be worth “x” amount, “x” being the unknown cost of the laptop. Since these two types of computer repairs tend to be problematic, we generally wont service these types of jobs due to the liability they create and the cost associated with these computer repairs.
